MUSEUM OF KENT LIFE MARCH 2008

The Club first saw light of day in the Greyhound Pub, Maidstone, when one of its founder members realised that many of his friends not only shared his love of  "Dads Army" but also bore many resemblances and even character traits of the original characters in the show. Given that these and other friends also had interests in militaria and old vehicles plus video camera technology becoming both cheaper and more user friendly, the idea for a short feature film was developed. A script was quickly written and after shooting over four days in 1988, BAFC's first production-The Exercise was released.
